New Xenex LightStrike Germ-Zapping Robot at St. Luke’s Hospital, Ohio

This week, St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio, welcomed a new Xenex LightStrike Germ-Zapping Robot to their hospital. Scott Young, business development manager for Xenex, joined St. Luke’s team members Jill Trosin, the vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at the Maumee hospital, and Elaine Buenger, an infection preventionist, for a demonstration.

When asked why St. Luke’s chose Xenex LightStrike robots, Trosin said: “It’s for our patients, their families, and our employees to prevent infections… safety is first and foremost and we really want to make sure we do not have any hospital-acquired infections.”
